The announcement caught Ankh off-guard. Someone was obviously trying to protect this guy. "Frigid bitch..." he muttered when he heard the name. He backed off from Philip and barely had time to cover his arms over his head and hunch over before it hit him.

Immediately the searing pain set him screaming. He could only barely keep his eyes covered. He staggered in place, and collapsed in a heap. He knew he had to get away from where it pooled on the floor.

Or maybe he could boil it away. He pushed his flames out in a big fireball toward where the acid had been dumped. Whether he was burning himself or that was the acid, he had no idea. And if Philip just happened to be in the line of fire, then that was just a bonus.
