[ Since they didn't get out of their cells until much later than usual, Anastasia was actually hungry by lunch time. Usually she could spend time sneaking around to get something and not have to worry about someone questioning who the hell the girl who looked kind of like the Queen but from an alternate universe was if she just sneaked little snacks back to her room for the day.

But no, she was hungry today with how late they got out, and she was going to go to the cafeteria and she's going to sit there and enjoy herself some shawarma. She may hate the guy who got her into Middle Easter cuisine but she doesn't dislike the food he introduced her to.

Of course, if you are looking for the Queen, it's unlikely that you've seen her in a couple of days. It might even take a glance or two considering she's speaking with an entirely different accent than the one she had before and she's no longer dressed in red-- no, she's got a rather different set of clothing and boots on. ]

[Her prolonged hospital stay made her a little weaker than she had been but that shouldn't be too much of a problem. She could get stronger easily enough. She shrugs.]

I think I'll be fine.

That's a delusion we're all under when we first get here.

[bystandering]

[Mitsuki's paying attention to Anastasia's attitude, what she says, the way she holds herself. The clothes definitely are a tip off. Either she's really good at the games or she prioritizes the clothes more than she should. Mitsuki likes nice things, too, but in a place like this... and what about the eye patch? Does that have to do with how Anastasia ended up in here? Possible.

She doesn't bring that up at all and just shrugs. She does look a little more nervous now, though.]

Well, I won't know unless I try.

Good attitude anyway. If you don't try they just off you right away since you're not a good show.

[bystandering]

A 'good show' is all those upstairs want from us.

[impureheart]

They like it more if it has a bad ending.

[bystandering]

It just gives them more money.

[impureheart]

That's not why, darling. They just like watching us suffer.

[bystandering]

It makes the audience happy, right? To see a bad end. So they'll pay more. They probably enjoy it, too.

[impureheart]

I wasn't referring to the audience. I'm sure even if there wasn't one they'd still have their little games here.

[bystandering]

I guess you're right... That's really nasty.

I don't think most of the audience even knows it's real.

What about the parts that do?

Just how much do you think they can do about it?

[bystandering]

By themselves? Probably not much but... they could stop buying tickets. Try to convince others to do the same.

[impureheart]

I'm sure there are many who have tried. Power all comes down to who cares less and who has more secure resources.

[bystandering]

Yeah... [She crosses her arms.] It's not like they could do something but ignoring it is just as bad.

[impureheart]

Hardly.

[ Anastasia's tone seemed to change. ] That's just how the world is with everything. If you expect everyone to stand by and care about everyone they don't know, no one would have any time to do anything else. It'd ludicrous to expect the rest of the world to care for you. If you want something, you find a way to get it on your own.

[bystandering]

[She thinks about this statement for a minute.] That's very true. [There's something else, though. That she has to think about it.]

That doesn't mean I have to like it.

[impureheart]

None of us were imprisoned in Wonderland because we desired nothing, darling. Those who want nothing do not make waves in the water as they do not move forward. If you want things to change, you have to take the leap to make them then fight to make sure your ground doesn't fall out beneath you.

[bystandering]

[There's something about the way Mitsuki is standing changes. Maybe it's the way Anastasia keeps talking about action does it. Her gaze is a little bit colder, her voice more serious.]

I know what I want. You even said so yourself--if I didn't want something, I wouldn't even be here.

[impureheart]

[ She can see that change. There's something in her eyes that says she's well aware of it, but not necessarily threatened by it. ]

Then you might consider sharing it with the rest of the class-- when the time is right.

[ There's a bit of a specification to that last bit. After all, if whatever it is this girl wants goes off too soon it could cause problems. ]

Just what are you planning on doing, anyway?

[bystandering]

To show the people who got me in here how much of a mistake that was.

[That's all she's going to say on the subject.]

Wise girl.

[ It's probably not a threat to Ana if it's against the people she's against. Just to make sure though.. ]

Though you may consider making allies in the future.

I think that's a smart idea.
