[ this. what the hell was this? this wasn't like home. it wasn't like anything. it wasn't even like hell. hell...he'd have a lot more to deal with ]
[ Levi was quiet for the longest time as he lay in his cell, just looking up at the ceiling. all those years during his stupid youth had somehow caught up with him and now... now he was paying for it. and this wasn't even the way he thought he would be paying for it. he thought he'd have a one way ticked to the electric chair after how that trial went.
Levi remembered how he stayed completely quiet during the trial. what was there even to say? nothing, of course. he just accepted it and also accepted the fact that he was probably going to get the death penalty. but he didn't. they went soft on him. the bastards.
now, he was just staring at the ceiling. he had opened his mouth to tell the crying girl across from him to shut-up, but then closed it. once the cells were open, Levi stood at the door for the longest time. his expression was, well, the same as usual. vague and annoyed, even looking slightly bored. he walked past others, not even interested in speaking to them ]
...
[ now, he was standing at the door to go outside. snow, just like home. was he even allowed to go outside? he didn't know and he didn't want to risk it. so he continued to stand at the door, watching others as they were outside ]

Levi, you said you're a Captain... So you were someone before coming here? Legally even?
no subject
[ that's a little...odd. Levi looks around at the others here ]
no subject
[ He shrugs. ]

I'm sure I could've. But that wouldn't have fit in with my plans at all. I was important enough in my way~
Ah, I suppose I got what I deserved, or so they'd say.
[ Being here and all. He's not as bitter about it as he could be, really. It's always better than being dead. ]

[ he moves to sit on the steps near the door, looking at the snow ]

Don't tell me you're an innocent law official under false charges?
[ That'd be kind of lame. Jakotsu leans against the wall next to Levi and waits for an answer. ]
no subject
No.

[ Jakotsu smiles again. He's really trying to figure out whether or not this guy is interesting to him and in what way. ]
You're not going to tell me what got you in here, are you?

[ Sheeesh, give him a rest. Only because he asked something twice. ]
I'll come up with a good explanation then. This'll be fun.

[ He tilts his head. ]
Whatever you mean, chances are I'd only do it for attractive and slash or interesting enough guys.

It could be a fun pastime though.

You're right what's done is done... so it doesn't make a difference, who knows and who doesn't.
[ Jakotsu can understand that some people are less comfortable with everyone knowing what they did than others, but that's where his ability to sympathize ends. He himself didn't have a problem with his deeds at any point in time after all. ]
no subject
That's just my opinion on the whole matter.

So people who aren't 'real' heroes automatically don't have pride?
no subject
Crimes are done for reasons so there's no point in boasting about them unless you're wanting attention. That would mean that you take no pride in yourself.
no subject
Life's not all that fun when you're not getting any attention at all. And not every crime is really worth any of it at all.
no subject
Then why would criminals do something like that if they didn't want to get attention or boast?
no subject
[ Jakotsu's lower lip is pushed forward for a moment, almost as if he was pouting. ]
You just do what you do because it gets you what you want. If you want attention that's that, if you want something else that's that, too! There's no reason to be ashamed of being a mailman - well maybe there is, that is kind of lame- so you don't hide it either.
[ Not like murdering and being a mailman is alike in any way, shape or form. ]
Whatever you did that landed you in here was not for your own sake then, huh?
no subject
[ well. that didn't work out ]
no subject
You're a really really cold one, whoa.
