[of course battler was on the prowl for anyone he could taunt and torment. right now this was like free reign for him, he could do anything he wanted.... right? right.

he saw her cell door open and he figured why not, he'll pay her a little visit. battler poked his head around the cell, seeing her against the back wall. oh, this was lovely.... she was alone even. the man's smile grew at that.]

My my.... and what are you doing all alone in your cell.... while there are dangerous people roaming free....? Heehh....

[Her heart jumped in her throat when somebody who wasn't Link or John appeared, especially since it was a man. She already assumed men were perverts; in prison, she was sure of it.

No, she couldn't show fear, she had too much pride of that. Instead, she'll look at him as if he was something that had crawled into her cell.]

Even if it's open, I don't remember inviting you so just leave now.

[battler leaned on the doorway to her cell, staring at her like he would just eat her up. aah.... how lovely that would be. the thought caused him to laugh lightly.]

Hahaha.... no... I quite like this cell. Tell me, are you afraid.... of the riots? Do you feel their killing intent.....? I do, it's troubling....

[No, you idiot, stay outside the cell! Leaning on the doorway is already too much! Nobody said you could stay!]

Hmph! [She tosses her hair over her shoulder, her hand no quiet steady.] Why would a goddess be afraid of lowly worms?

...Then.... are you a goddess...?

[oh no. battler pushes himself off of the doorframe, walking into her cell now. he had his hands in his pockets and his pace was slow, painfully so.]

Do you... crush those under your power...? Do you hurt them....? Aah... no no, don't tell me, you're a kind goddess? Huhahaha...!!

Stop! [She points at him, then to the door. Now he's actually inside the cell. What was she suppose to do? How could she make him get out?]

I'm not so generous that I'll just let anybody into my cell, so you should get out now. Go find somebody who has more time than somebody like me.

[oh. he stops when she tells him to.

but.... then he just stays there, grinning at her. she might have told him to leave, but he doesn't want to.]

You're all alone... I wanted to keep you company... you see.

[He stopped...how much can she take from that?]

Do you really think somebody like me can't have company if I want it? I don't so you can just go die somewhere. I wouldn't pick you even if I didn't want to be alone.

[and he takes another step towards her.]

[She's already against the wall, so it wasn't as if she could move backwards if she wanted to. In a way, the hard brick against her back was both a blessing and a curse. Though it trapped her, it also helped keep her on her less than stable knees.]

There's nothing false about it. You're worse than the dirt under my feet so learn your place and leave.

[dirt.... under her feet? oh no, that wasn't quite right.

battler closed the distance between them, his hand hitting hard against the wall behind her and by her head. he wanted her to know who was in charge here, that she had no power or no control- he held it all.]

[She can't help herself, even with her pride, she jumps when the hand slams next to her head, the impact sounding even louder than it was thanks to her high strung nerves. Forget about ego, she had to get out of here. If one hand was beside her, that left one side open. Maybe he wouldn't try to stop her, maybe she would be fast enough to get by, even if her did, but she turned and ducked, not wanting to get caught between both arms.]

[There was a lot of things she could have said just then, a lot of things about how beneath her he was, but, for once, survival was much more important than how she presented herself.]

Ah ah! Where are you going?!

[just as she tried to run he reached out to grab her. he grasped her wrist, his grip tightening so she would know that there is simply no escape for her.]

A goddess should never run.... right? No.... that's no good at all! Tell me, goddess, what makes you worshiped... what makes you so amazing....?! You have the face and body for it, but other than that- I see nothing that would deem you worthy!

[She's slightly jerked when he grabs her, and at first, it's hard to separate her emotions. Fear seems to be the obvious one, an emotion so strong that he can probably see the tremble in her body, almost feel it in her wrist.]

[But then, anger begins to boil just below the surface. She is beautiful but that isn't all she is. Right now, he seemed no better than the bitches who mocked her at school, combined with the puppy dog guys who only saw her for that much. She had other things going for her, and she wouldn't be afraid of an idiot who couldn't see that.]

[she was so full of fight, yet he could see that she was actually scared. battler let go of, his hands going back into his pockets.]

[with a chuckle he turned, going back the way he came.] Be careful, wouldn't want any other inmates to come in here and kill you.

[His retreat doesn't slow her heart, it doesn't calm her nerves, especially after those parting words. Never had she regretted being called a goddess.]

[Though she shouts after him, she moves to close the door. Link, John, one of them needed to come!]
