battle royale event!

The inmates are taken down to the arena by the guards, they're told absolutely nothing about what this will be like at all. The only indication they get is what the Warden mentioned before. They're all shoved into a room, told to wait until the audience is good and ready for them, and expected to hang out until that time. In that room they will be able to hear voices out in the arena calling out to the crowd, the audience in an uproar and already chanting for blood.

But wait.... Second isn't around, just who is hosting it this time?

After about twenty minutes of waiting they're separated into three groups. Group one is brought to the arena first, followed by the second and third groups. Of course once they arrive the group will be split yet again and each person will have to go down a tunnel by themselves. As the person walks through the tunnel they'll hear the roar of the crowd and someone talking.

"Welcome welcome one and all~!"

It's the Warden. It seems like she personally wants to host this one. She still doesn't want her face to be seen so she's taken other measures for that. If an inmate looks around to spot the Warden, they'll see that she's using a mechanical bird which is able to fly around and project her voice.

"Yes it's that time again, aren't you all excited? This time around I have a very special event for everyone here. A Battle Royale! The prisoners here are expected to partake in an epic fight. Oh but don't worry, any deaths that you see here are simply all for show everyone! That's right, it's a battle to the death and one person from each group will go home with 2 million Cast Points!"

The group cheers at that, and by this time the inmate would have exited that tunnel. The inmate will leave and see a vast forest in front of them. Simple enough, they've made enough room for a proper battle field. There are cameras all around so the audience can see them better, so there will be lots of those mechanical birds around! While the forest looks huge, it really isn't. This is a prison, they don't have room to make it gigantic! Everyone will surely find each other eventually.

The inmate will also see a weapon to their left, on a pedestal. Their weapons are all random and can range from a simple bat to an actual gun. Oh wait there's one more thing-

"Good luck out there, everyone! And I warn you, there are traps all around this place as well. If someone doesn't kill you then you will definitely be sucked in by one of the traps! Also- before I forget... there's a special reason we're having this event here today. Yes that's right, none other than Mister Schnee himself is here and is sponsoring this! Let's all give a warm welcome to him and salute this man and the Schnee company for allowing this event to happen!"

It's time to begin the Battle Royale.

OOC: As promised the Battle Royale is about to begin. As stated, the rules are pretty simple. There are three groups and if you haven't already plotted out how you want your characters to meet up with other certain ones then don't worry, it's pretty much a free for all anyways. Comment to your respected group down below and be prepared to battle it out! People are allowed and encouraged to threadjack and jump in between threads. Why? Because anything can happen in this arena.

Basically, if you haven't determined beforehand who will win in the thread or how they'll die, then it's encouraged that you use the random number generator in order to come up with an outcome. Let's say if: Character A is 1 and Character B is 2. Roll a 2? Character B will win. How will they win? 1 is by murder and 2 is by the traps, etc etc.

Either way, within each groups they'll run into one another, the characters will die, and it will keep going until only one is left. If we haven't been able to thread that out all the way then I will look at the remaining characters, rng them, and then determine a winner from that. I wouldn't want to get to that point though, so please go on ahead and kill one another and thread it out!!

Oh and the weapon they get at random is the player's choice as well.

[kick him, really? adam scoffed at that, pushing off of her blade and dodging that kick.

there was that smirk of his, the one that said he was just showing off. he was trying to get her going, he wanted her to just dive in here and really get angry. if this were to work, then he had absolutely no problems becoming even more of a bad guy.]

Then come at me if you hate the White Fang so much. [yes weiss, really drive it home here.]

[ With her foot up from the kick when she was pushed off, Weiss regained her balance with a backflip. The more he spoke, the more she was able to distance herself from him. If he wanted to destroy everything she thought of him, he was doing a good job. ]

I spent my entire life dealing with the fallout from worthless extremists like you destroying everything. Don't you get why my father's here, Adam? This is Schnee Company showing the White Fang that you didn't hurt us.

[ She understood the reasoning behind it. It was her mistake, and that meant that she fell to the singular fact she'd been running from for a long time: She was expendable.

Somehow saying that last part out loud, practically speaking the truth of her own expendability to her family, it helped a tiny bit with finding catharsis. Weiss took another deep breath, calming herself. Right foot forward. Elbow raised. She was more furious than she'd been in a long time. No one to trust, no one gave a damn about her, and her only chance was to prove herself. Weiss wasn't going to lose that opportunity because she was raging.

She didn't know if she could kill him, but she could convince herself that it was something she wanted for at least a little while. Maybe long enough that she could do it. Either way, Weiss was going for it again; there was no shaking this time. ]

[good. that's exactly what he wanted from her.

as soon as she steadied herself again, as soon as she said those words, he knew that he had to put his plan into action. his heart pounded loudly in his chest, both from the thrill of the fight and the knowing that he was about to let himself die.

not by her hands, he hoped, but he wanted her to win this. it was the only way to show that he never considered her expendable, that he really did like her, it was the only way to show that he wasn't in this for the white fang. he had known who she was from the start, but even so he put that behind him... it had been hard, but he did it.

adam chuckled, getting ready for another round of this fight. with her fighting style much more steady he knew it would be better when he allowed her a hit. she came at him, he blocked, but the next strike wouldn't be so forgiving. at the last moment, adam moved his blade and allowed her rapier to dive into his torso.]

Ahh-!

[a pained gasp left him, her sword plunged into his gut. adam reached out to her, his hand gripping her wrist and keeping her in place. that was the strike he needed, the show he wanted to put on. her father had better be watching, seeing that she had really put down a member of the white fang. adam gasped again, but this time it caught in his throat. the gurgle of blood started, the crimson liquid seeping out from his mouth and trickling down his chin.]

W...Weiss... [another cough, another choke, and the blood kept on oozing out of him.] ....Good... you won...

[ah, he didn't think dying so slowly would be so painful. he had done this to many people over the years, killed them, gutted them, watched them slowly bleed out... so this was what it was like... huh?]

You won... I'm glad...[he repeated this, but it was a whispers as he lowered his head. instead of letting go of her he actually slumped forward. an arm wrapped around her, pulling her against him and he felt the rapier inside of him move. he was feeling weak, she hit a good spot, and more blood was coming out of him than he would have ever gauged.]

[ When the blade actually connected, she could feel the warm spray of his blood coating her hand and sleeve. Her eyes widened as he grabbed her, clearly not pulling away. Somehow, despite that she'd been coming at him with the intent to take him down, she'd thought maybe she could get away with injuring him bad enough that it wouldn't take him out.

That shaking was back as he whispered into her ear. She had no idea what was going on. Was this some sort of trick, so that she'd forgive him when this was over? He was White Fang, that much was true no matter what game he was playing here. Equally as true was the fact that Weiss had never felt as weak as the moment that Adam had grabbed her. He was holding onto her, but she wasn't strong enough to support him while she'd lost her concentration as though a bullet shattering through a glass.

They were both on the ground a moment later, Weiss on her knees with her hand still loosely gripping the sword. She didn't want to kill anyone. She didn't want to kill Adam. Whatever he was playing at, she'd waste it if she started freaking out visibly but she didn't know how to hold it in. She kept her voice quiet enough that even the cameras probably couldn't hear their conversation.

Weiss had to shut this down. Had to shut him down. Had to shut her heart down. ]

Let go...

[pained sounds left him as they both slumped to the ground. he was on his knees as well, the blood seeping through his clothing and it was clear he wasn't going to leave this arena alive. she hadn't killed him, that wasn't a blow that would kill him right away, he would bleed out if anything. he knew though, that with this kind of wound he would be picked off by another so easily.

that was why he did it, because he couldn't kill her. he didn't want to kill her, and if he had then it would have been bad for weiss, for their trust, and for her father. he would have loved nothing more than to win and beat that rotten man into the ground as well, but he would get his chance, now wasn't the time.

slowly, adam let go of her wrist, but he didn't remove his arm from around her. they didn't have much time before the audience and her father would catch on. another coughing fit wracked his body, and he forced himself to swallow down the metallic liquid before he spoke.]

..I w...wanted to watch over you until... the end but... it's fine. This is fine. This way... you didn't... k-kill anyone and... your father got to see...

[keep it together, he kept telling himself he couldn't pass out yet.] Maybe he can he...help you get out now.

[adam went to speak again, but another spurt of blood rolled down his chin and neck. he pulled away from her then, unable to keep this up, and he felt himself slowly leaning over to the side. he was falling, he felt himself bleeding out.]

[ Weiss didn't reply. She had so many questions. She was still angry, still confused, still hurt. But she had to keep playing, didn't she?

She didn't know that she could kill anyone, or if she could avoid killing anyone. But funny enough she actually had a small desire to win this now. She hadn't wanted to win it for her father, that was different. That was just somethign she knew she had to do.

Now Weiss felt like if Adam wanted to watch over her until the end, maybe she could keep fighting despite seeing him fall at her hands. He may not be dead yet, lying there, but Weiss stood up and pulled the sword out of him in a swift move at last as he slid to the ground.

She stared at him for another few seconds, blue eyes cold as ice. She wasn't going to say anything to him. Not yet. Weiss stood at his body and quickly flicked her blade to get most of the blood off of it. Her eyes turned toward one of the more obvious cameras, giving it a cold look before she stepped over Adam to head away from the scene, leaving him there bleeding. If he wanted to make a show, she'd finish it. Exactly what his motives were, no matter what he said now.. she could figure that out later. ]

Goodbye, Adam.
