battle royale event!

The inmates are taken down to the arena by the guards, they're told absolutely nothing about what this will be like at all. The only indication they get is what the Warden mentioned before. They're all shoved into a room, told to wait until the audience is good and ready for them, and expected to hang out until that time. In that room they will be able to hear voices out in the arena calling out to the crowd, the audience in an uproar and already chanting for blood.

But wait.... Second isn't around, just who is hosting it this time?

After about twenty minutes of waiting they're separated into three groups. Group one is brought to the arena first, followed by the second and third groups. Of course once they arrive the group will be split yet again and each person will have to go down a tunnel by themselves. As the person walks through the tunnel they'll hear the roar of the crowd and someone talking.

"Welcome welcome one and all~!"

It's the Warden. It seems like she personally wants to host this one. She still doesn't want her face to be seen so she's taken other measures for that. If an inmate looks around to spot the Warden, they'll see that she's using a mechanical bird which is able to fly around and project her voice.

"Yes it's that time again, aren't you all excited? This time around I have a very special event for everyone here. A Battle Royale! The prisoners here are expected to partake in an epic fight. Oh but don't worry, any deaths that you see here are simply all for show everyone! That's right, it's a battle to the death and one person from each group will go home with 2 million Cast Points!"

The group cheers at that, and by this time the inmate would have exited that tunnel. The inmate will leave and see a vast forest in front of them. Simple enough, they've made enough room for a proper battle field. There are cameras all around so the audience can see them better, so there will be lots of those mechanical birds around! While the forest looks huge, it really isn't. This is a prison, they don't have room to make it gigantic! Everyone will surely find each other eventually.

The inmate will also see a weapon to their left, on a pedestal. Their weapons are all random and can range from a simple bat to an actual gun. Oh wait there's one more thing-

"Good luck out there, everyone! And I warn you, there are traps all around this place as well. If someone doesn't kill you then you will definitely be sucked in by one of the traps! Also- before I forget... there's a special reason we're having this event here today. Yes that's right, none other than Mister Schnee himself is here and is sponsoring this! Let's all give a warm welcome to him and salute this man and the Schnee company for allowing this event to happen!"

It's time to begin the Battle Royale.

OOC: As promised the Battle Royale is about to begin. As stated, the rules are pretty simple. There are three groups and if you haven't already plotted out how you want your characters to meet up with other certain ones then don't worry, it's pretty much a free for all anyways. Comment to your respected group down below and be prepared to battle it out! People are allowed and encouraged to threadjack and jump in between threads. Why? Because anything can happen in this arena.

Basically, if you haven't determined beforehand who will win in the thread or how they'll die, then it's encouraged that you use the random number generator in order to come up with an outcome. Let's say if: Character A is 1 and Character B is 2. Roll a 2? Character B will win. How will they win? 1 is by murder and 2 is by the traps, etc etc.

Either way, within each groups they'll run into one another, the characters will die, and it will keep going until only one is left. If we haven't been able to thread that out all the way then I will look at the remaining characters, rng them, and then determine a winner from that. I wouldn't want to get to that point though, so please go on ahead and kill one another and thread it out!!

Oh and the weapon they get at random is the player's choice as well.

In that case, you may want to get out of the wind's way. It tends to spread fire.

[ That was a less metaphorical reference, made even more evident by Killian nudging his head to the side. Scratch could easily kill him with that gun, so best to give him reason to trust him. Like suggesting that he get out of the way of the impending flames swallowing up the forest bit by bit. ]

I've noticed.

[ He looked past the other man to the fire blazing in the distance, his thoughts lingering on just what Killian's exact angle was. It was clear to both of them that Scratch held the advantage, and just as clear was the fact that Hook was up to something. Rather that something was a way to turn the tides in his favor or something more advantageous to the both of them... well, there was only one way to find out. ]

You know, Captain, I don't really want to kill you.

[ Having a man with some less literal fire power on his side might come in handy. ]

Nor I you. In fact, I'd be willing to wager that two fine gentlemen as ourselves could form quite the consociation, given the circumstances.

[ He's not going to beat around the bush. ]

[ At those words he couldn't hold back a slight grin. He definitely liked that Hook wasn't the type to screw around. Scratch glanced at the pistol in his hand and back to Killian before flicking the safety on. He wouldn't have done it for anyone else short of Alan, but he had to make a show that he was serious about this consociation thing. A small act of trust was a good way to do that.

He held his hand out, indicating that he wanted to shake on the deal. ]

If we make it to the end it's gonna be on hell of a showdown.

[ Killian reaches out for his hand with the one he's got, shaking firmly with his eyebrows raised and a smile. ]

Perhaps we'll get a bonus for good showmanship. No hard feelings from either side?

None at all. May the best man win and all that garbage, right?

[ Scratch let go of Killian's hand and gave him a hearty pat on the shoulder before standing back. ]

You've probably got a lot more experience with this kind of thing than I do. Any bright ideas?

So long as that best man is one of us.

[ Hook is cool with this pact. Two Deadmen working together? Chances are, they're not going to lose. ]

First thing would be for you to get me a better weapon. I can set the forest on fire but in a man-to-man confrontation a torch leaves much to be desired and I'd prefer to keep certain cards up my sleeve until I truly need them.

If it isn't one of us then they aren't the best. It's a glitch in the system.

[ He shrugged, his words matter of fact even if they were ridiculous. ]

Riiiight. [ He shot Killian a look as if he didn't quite know what he was talking about, but of course he did. ] I spotted a guy with a sledgehammer a bit ago. Think you could do something with that?

[Ellie hadn't meant to run into either of them, though she'd heard a bit of their conversation. Should she run for the entire time? There were two of them, only one of her.]

[But that didn't end this. So, instead, she stays far off, hidden in bushes.]

You guys friend or foe?! [Not that she would go by word alone.]

[ Hook had been about to answer about the sledgehammer, but was interrupted by the voice of a young girl. He couldn't see her, tilting his head back and putting both of his arms out. It had to be a child first, didn't it? Not that children couldn't be more dangerous than most adults. That was something he learned some time ago. ]

We're friends, so why don't you come out and say hello?

[ Well. He and Scratch were anyway, so it wasn't a lie and even sounded quite honest. ]

Much harder to kill someone if you can see the whites of their eyes, anyway.

[ He gave a look to Scratch, raising his eyebrows as though to say get ready to shoot as soon as you can see her. ]

[ Scratch caught Hook's signal loud and clear. Killing a kid hadn't been high on his list of priorities when he had woken up that morning, but he wasn't going to feel much guilt over it. Fortunately for the girl, he did have a reputation to keep up. She probably wouldn't be lucky enough to find a swift death anywhere else.

He would have done just about anything for a holster in that moment, but tucking the pistol into his belt was the only option he had. She wouldn't come out if he was still holding it, after all. As he did so, it occurred to him that her voice was familiar. He put his hands in the air, hoping their actions were sufficient enough to gain her trust. ]

I've talked to you before, right?

Yeah but I talked to your brother too. There's no chance I'm coming out and you better stay where you are! I have a weapon. I don't want to use it but I will! I've killed people before!

[Hidden, she works on keeping calm. What did she want her? A truce? No way when they had weapons, numbers, and a size advantage. Maybe they would be cool with two of those.]

I don't wanna keep fighting! Through your stuff down and I'll come out. I just want this damn thing over but I'm not gonna die for it! There's no way in hell I'm coming out yet!

[ Either of them were well enough armed to take care of a little girl even without the physical weapons they were given. However, Hook held his up instead of tossing it down. ]

If you're looking for me to throw this torch on the ground we're all going to have a problem should anything go awry, lass.

[ It wasn't as though he couldn't defend himself, but lets not puncture the thing that says "Do not puncture" on the warning label on accident ok. On the other hand, if they could figure a directionality he could just throw it, let Scratch shoot it, and likely knock the girl out of the trees. He had to get her to say something else to be sure, but he had an idea of which way to throw. All he needed to do was hope that Scratch would know what he meant when he said "Pull" after throwing it in that direction. ]

Ah ah, I don't think so kiddo. I'm not too interested in dying myself, so unless you can extend a little trust of your own this really isn't going to work out.

[ What the girl was trying to pull was laughable, really. Even if they couldn't see her, any advantage she thought she might have in that respect was pretty useless when considering just who she was up against. ]
