CARNIVAL CORPSE
That's right everyone, it's time for the Carnival Corpse! What does that mean? Well, gather around the holographic campfire of as we tell the tales of the Carnival Corpse. The event will go as follows!
All the inmates who are not deadmen will still be able to watch everything! We used to have it totally hush hush here in the prison, but hey- where's the fun in that? We have nothing to hide at all! And what'dya know, we actually get tons of sponsors for these sorts of shows from rich old men! Ha ha oh they're quite the riot. So! That means the ones who bid against these losers will be able to watch the show as well.
As for those participating? It's simple! Just attack the other one until they're dead or just knocked out- but hey we prefer the dead route, that's way more fun don't you think?
On with the show!

On with the show!

With any other opponent, he'd have made the first move. As it was, he sank back into a defensive stance, keeping his eyes on Yui.

But she knew that this person wasn't a bad one.
She could feel it in her gut.
"Nobody's going to die today!" Yui's words were determined as she said them with such vigor and energy, deciding that she would go for a knock out without using her Branch of Sin. She counted the seconds in her head-- three, two, and then one, before lunging, using as much speed and technique as she could. She would first start with a punch with her left fist; a feint, before going in for a straight kick right to the balls. Mostly because she knew that was a guy's weak spot.
She clenched her teeth, hoping this plan would work. Otherwise, this might take all of her strength to go through.

So, that happened.
He hissed in pain and stumbled backward, doubling over. The moment of pain left him wide open for another attack. Looking back on this he'd be grateful for that -- if he were capable of retaliating, he'd pretty much have to. Otherwise there would surely be hell to pay.

She could feel her body shaking again; she hated the fact that she wasn't over it, her androphobia, and could only do several attacks at a time. But she couldn't show it. Don't let it show, Yui, she told herself, readying herself yet again.
She had to do this in a quickly, or else she would be screwed. She's got this. ... She hopes.

And he wasn't interested in lying down and die, either. Not anymore.
His usual method of fighting -- hands-on grappling -- would just be awkward with this opponent; because of the height difference if nothing else. So instead he took a few quick steps back, digging his nails into the palm of his hand until he drew blood, then tossed a few small, sharp feathers up into the air. When they came down they would be aiming for non-vital areas on Yui; her arms, mostly. She needed to be bleeding too.

But just as she was about to take back her stance and go back on the offensive, all of a sudden, almost without warning - but of course, the announcer just had to tell her exactly what was going on and who exactly did it before the live, poisonous snakes dropped on top of her, right on cue.
Oh, someone was going to pay, alright.
Yet, not before she screamed from the top of her lungs, using the best of her ability to wring them off of her body with some kicks and punches, though they're still there, alive. And it's freaking her out, but she has more important problems to deal with. Hopefully those more important problems wouldn't be too cumbersome. And within the seconds she had to get the snakes off of her, Akira could have made a move.
Let's just hope she's lucky.

Akira flung more of his sharp blood feathers in Yui's direction -- except he wasn't aiming at her. A few snakes fell, impaled through the head; another found itself pinned to the floor by its tail, hissing and snapping its teeth.
"Not only do I have to fight a little girl, you're dumping snakes on her?" Akira demanded. "This is ridiculous!"

"Phew, at least I didn't get bitten by the snakes..." It was just a small relief out of the many problems that she had as she pulled herself back into her proper stance, deciding that she would have to end it soon. It's possible that another batch of snakes might fall, or hell, possibly something even worse.
Another kick to the groin should do it, she thought to herself as she hasted up her pace, readying herself. She wouldn't kick him straight on immediately; he would see right through her, and that wasn't a part of the plan. She would first do a spin kick from the left side towards the lower part of his right leg to trip him up and then jab with her knee straight to his weak spot.
"Let's see if this works..."
And she was going to go for the kill. She hopes, anway.
