Ah, welcome to day two everyone. Let's see...

Team A didn't fare too well. They tried to lynch, but came up empty handed. Two votes went to Koishi, one went to Shotaro. But with no majority, no lynch was had.
We awoke this morning to find that Joey, the villager, had been gruesomely killed, by means of playing cards shoved down his throat.
That now leaves five people, so three to reach majority. Shouldn't be too hard, no?

Team B didn't choose to lynch anybody, perhaps a smart move if not for the mafia lurking around. Mitsuzane was found murdered, laying in a fountain with his blood surrounding him. Yikes. Five remain here as well, so three for majority.

It's now day two. You better do something soon or your teams will starve!

[OOC notes:
- Dying in this game means you're free from the colosseum. Enjoy your newfound freedom...as soon as you revive.
- Pets are being fed by caretakers or anybody who isn't in the event who wishes to do it.]

[ The Captain smiles on the colosseum, which has been transformed into a small little village with a house, gallows and a campfire. There is a similar one on the other side, and a wall separates the two.

Her voice comes over the speakers, loud and clear. ]

Welcome to the Village, everyone. I trust you all are having a fine morning!
In your pockets you’ll find a piece of paper with your role and what your win conditions are. Keep that paper to yourself. You’re free to tell people what you are, but be careful. Don’t throw the game, dohoho~

The rules are simple. You find which one of you is the mafia. But be careful, lynching incorrectly could result in problems. Listen closely to what your friends say, and watch your words carefully. You never know what can be used against you...
Failure to comply with the game may result in a much bigger loss than what your team would suffer, huhu~

TEAM A
Shotaro
Hina
Terui
Koishi
Joey
Mitsuki

TEAM B
Ankh
Micchy
Christa
Rei
Rika
Aya

((OOC: Basic rules:
- No copying the message sent to you with your role information in any form. No screeenshotting, either.
- You must choose a user during your night actions. You can’t kill nobody, investigate nobody, et cetera.
- No lynching is permitted during the game, however is suboptimal.
- Any questions can be sent to DM on Plurk, or to the avibusraris account.

So, he was alive.

Somehow that was a concept almost impossible to comprehend. He had known it was coming, he had witnessed others coming back from the supposed dead -- but experiencing it was an inevitability that he wasn't handling as well as he had thought he would. For several minutes he sat on his bed and stared at the wall, trying to make sense of things. Instinctively he reached for the necklace that was supposed to be around his neck, but stopped short when he remembered it wasn't there. That final thought propelled him out of bed. He couldn't stand to sit and think anymore.

Once he was up, he changed out of his usual red leather outfit. For now, he was only wearing jeans and a red long sleeved shirt. He didn't feel like putting on a lot of clothes. They felt too restrictive after experiencing the feeling of not being able to breathe. After everything that had happened, falling into his usual routine of making his morning coffee was the only thing that could get his mind to stop wandering.

Later in the day, he could easily be spotted leaning against the wall of the cafeteria during lunch hours. He'd at least worn his leather jacket to look more put together. From the way he was watching things, it seemed as if he was looking out for someone or something.

Shortly after the Warden's announcement, the guards enter G-Block to escort the Carnival Corpse losers to the punishment area. As usual they are rough and impatient, so anyone dumb enough to fight back will get a little pre-game roughing up.

When the screens around the prison come on, each Deadman is already strapped into a chair with the roulette wheel looming behind them in it's grotesque glory. It seems that the only member of staff present is the Doctor, who waves to the audience with her lips ever so slightly turned up into a ghost of a smile. She was silent as the off-screen announcer shared the details of the game, but those in the room could likely sense her anticipation.

"You all know why you're here, don't you?" The Doctor turns once the announcer is finished. "Then let's begin."

(ooc: When you reply, please specify what you want done to your character. You're more than welcome to pick a punishment" from the list, or RNG it for a bit of fun. You may also allow the mods to choose a punishment. If that's the case, please mark rather you want our choice to be fatal or non-fatal. You can contact us if any of our choices are out of your realm of comfort.)

That's right everyone, it's time for the Carnival Corpse! What does that mean? Well, gather around the holographic campfire of as we tell the tales of the Carnival Corpse. The event will go as follows!

All the inmates who are not deadmen will still be able to watch everything! We used to have it totally hush hush here in the prison, but hey- where's the fun in that? We have nothing to hide at all! And what'dya know, we actually get tons of sponsors for these sorts of shows from rich old men! Ha ha oh they're quite the riot. So! That means the ones who bid against these losers will be able to watch the show as well.

As for those participating? It's simple! Just attack the other one until they're dead or just knocked out- but hey we prefer the dead route, that's way more fun don't you think?

On with the show!

Well, this was going to be a hell of a day. But it was one battle at a time. And it seemed like Fetch was more or less on board with what was going to go down today. And getting what passed for a 'date' around here was kind of like icing on the cake.

So for now, it was time for a good breakfast. There were a few more people he wanted to touch base with in the meantime, so out and about was the way to do it. "Do you think they picked Macaw for you before or after they saw your hair?" he teased Philip, with a smirk on his face once they sat down with their food.

As soon as he heard the announcement, Philip froze up. He could not deal with this. He couldn't bear the idea of using his Branch of Sin again, and especially not to provide entertainment for Deadman Wonderland.

But he couldn't see any way out of this, either.

Normally, he'd have left his cell to get breakfast by seven-thirty. This morning, though, he was still in there, pacing back and forth frantically.

Levi hadn't been talking to anyone much. He had actually been writing letters back home and wasting his CP without knowing if he would actually ever get a response.

Fortunately for him, today was the day that he would get a response from the Chief of Police himself! Levi had asked for all of the information for his case and wanted an explanation as to why he had been framed for so much in the town. He had always been the good cop; the one to arrest the kids on the street, take them for a car ride in his cop car to talk to them, and then take them back home with a threat instead of taking them downtown. He had been thanked and given awards for doing so... Just what went wrong?

Once he received the letter, he went out to the courtyard to read it by himself. He sat on the last steps, looking around to make sure no one was around him. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and then opened the envelope.

...He stared for the longest time. A perplexed expression on his face as he read the letter over and over.

"You bastard..." He muttered under his breath. He punched the steps underneath him with his fist before standing up and stomping the piece of paper into the snow, "You fucking bastard!!"

Come one, come all! This wonderful test of brain power and courage is about to commence! What is it exactly, you ask? Well then, don't worry your little head about that one bit! The birdie here will explain it all to you.

The rules are very simple. There is a shocker and a shockee, following so far? The inmates will both be lead into different rooms. There is a glass wall that separates them, and of course a glass wall for the audience to be able to see and watch everything! Now then, the shocker will be provided with questions thanks to a digital screen. The screen itself is integrated into the table they will be seated at, as well as a button, and questions will begin to appear once the game begins. The questions start out easy then start to get harder, and if the shocker tries to tell the shockee any answers, then they will receive the electricity instead, seeing as how they are strapped down to an electric chair as well.

Sounds pretty fun so far! Either way, each pair has four questions to get through. For each question answered correctly, they will gain CP. If the shockee is unable to answer a question, or answers wrong, then it's up to the shocker to provide the pain and then they get the CP. See it's a good game where everyone is rewarded! The shockee cannot die on the first two questions, if they are to answer it wrong (or if the shocker gets the electricity instead) but they can die on the third question, and they will die on the last question if they are shocked. Now then, off to the CP count.

First = 30,000 CP
Second = 40,000 CP
Third = 50,000 CP
Fourth = 80,000 CP

Oh, and there are no extra rewards for dying in this event. The CP gained from questions and shocking will be the only CP awarded. So, comment in the proper spot with your muses entering, and then the shockers will be getting PM's with the questions!

Let it begin!

Short of occasionally posting responses on the network and fulfilling the tasks required to be paid every day, Ryu Terui had more or less kept to himself for the better part of the last several days. The fact aside that he found most of his fellow inmates -- especially those in G-block -- to be intolerable, he had spent most of his time thinking on matters he frankly didn't feel like sharing with anyone. That morning, however, an idea had sprung to him and he decided for certain that being in prison wasn't going to stop him from finding answers to the questions that had been nagging at the back of his mind.

Even if the lack of privacy could pose problems, he first stopped off in the computer room. If you happen to pass by he won't hesitate to close whatever page he may be perusing, but if you pester him long enough you might get something akin to a conversation.

Ten minute isn't nearly long enough to search for what he's after, though, and he was quick to make an exit and head for the library. He found himself a bit reluctant to be seen there again, especially if Weiss was around, but as long as no one pushed his buttons he had zero intention of doing anything that would cause problems. Unfortunately it's much harder to hide what you've got in your hands in a public library, so he could only hope no one had reason to approach him.

[It's midday before Feng Wángzǐ, called Prince by all who find his name hard to pronounce, comes to in his underground cell, ill-fitting jumpsuit on his body and brand-new collar around his neck. He never expected to end up here, in this place, but with the crimes he was convicted for, it'd be certain death anywhere else. Might as well get used to the idea.]

[There's something - or some things, really - next to his cot. A book, and a piece of... candy? An experimental lick reveals its bitterness, so Prince rewraps it and pockets it before flipping through the book. Skimming soon turns into in-depth reading, and what he's seeing isn't pleasant. Reaching the end, Prince vents his frustrations by throwing the book across the room, where it falls harmlessly. He's still pissed off, though... Maybe a walk around G-Block will help him cool down?]

[Later in the day, Prince can be found wandering in the courtyard, just hanging out, or in the Gift Shop, buying and struggling to activate a communicator. He's really not good with technology. Only after he's done with that will he realize something awful, though. He's got no clue how to get back to his cell in G-Block. Um... Help?]

Noonish//

The conversation that morning had left Shotaro with a lot to mull through. He spent most of his shift in the laundry taking down notes from all the threads that John had indicated were a problem. And further from that, there was new data from today that was worth going through. The words and voice were all different. Someone else? There were two? But there were some similarities that couldn't be ignored.

He occasionally grumbled and made the odd growl of frustration. Here he was with his first solo case, and it was already a doozy. The pieces were out there, he just had to find them and put them together.

Afternoon//

His research continued after lunch, once his work was done for the day. He sat at a computer in the library working on another research subject of his own: Ryu Terui. He couldn't believe what he'd found. Murdered his whole family? There was no way. If he was a Deadman, then there was probably more to it than that. There always was. Suddenly a lot more about yesterday made sense. While no, Sokichi Narumi couldn't have kept Terui out of Deadman Wonderland, but he could have kept his family alive.

Once that particular enigma was resolved, he went back to taking notes from what John had forwarded him. There was quite a bit to go through, and several times to make sure he didn't miss anything.

Evening//

Shotaro tended to make a point of making sure no one saw him head for G-Block. Not only because of Philip, but because he didn't want people to assume ulterior motives for his eagerness to help people. Some of what Yui had said that morning still rang in his head. But, he'd promised to become a man worthy of wearing the hat the Boss had given him. And protecting the weak, even in prison, was a part of that.

That, and he wanted to see if Philip had any insight on what John had set them to that morning. He just hoped he didn't run into Terui or Scratch.
