Nonon is busy working away in the lounge for two reasons: to pay Philip back, and to make sure she doesn't have any more close calls like that again. Because death doesn't seem interesting, not at this time anyway.
She's just starting her shift for the first time. Who knows what kind of people she'll be waiting on..

As she carries a tray of drinks out to some customers, Hina looks over at Nonon in surprise. "Hi! I haven't seen you here before."

Nonon glances over her shoulder. "I just started here today..." Her voice quiets slightly. "I needed some extra money."

"Oh..." Well, that makes sense. "I'm Hina Izumi, I work here too. If you need help learning anything just go ahead and ask."

[symphonyregalia]

"Thank you, I'm Nonon Jakuzure."
Out of the corner of her eye, Nonon spots someone sitting down at a table. "Shall I take this customer?"

"Go for it! Ah, I should deliver these." She nods to the tray in her hands. "Good luck, Nonon-chan!"

She rushes off, but she keeps an eye on Nonon to see how she does.

Visiting the lounge had become a bit of a habit of John. For a while it was just to visit Clara, but as of late it was something he did even when she wasn't on duty. Maybe he just liked it because it was a good place to be social.

He definitely noticed Nonon right away, and waved her over with a smile.

The customer was someone who Nonon recognized from video messages every so often, but she had never actually met face to face.
"Hello, Dr. Smith," she said to him, placing a glass of water as a starter on his table. She couldn't remember how he liked to be called, so she figured this would be fine for now. "Can I get you something else?"

It was a bit surprising that their paths hadn't crossed until then, all things considered.

"Just the water for now, I think. Unless you've got any suggestions?" Now that he'd seen her in person, he decided she was a pretty cute kid. "Just John or Doctor is fine, by the way."

"Fair enough," she chirped, putting the tray behind her. "Well, I think the chicken is pretty great, so give it a try."
Her eyes wander back to Hina behind her, but decide that it would be best to do this on her own.
"I can give you a sample if you'd like."

"I'll take your word for it! How about I order two so you can take a break and chat with me?" He really hoped that didn't come off as weird, but he didn't see her hanging around with many people in particular so he figured a friendly conversation might be good for her.
