DEADMAN WONDERLAND MAFIA :: Day Two

Ah, welcome to day two everyone. Let's see...

Team A didn't fare too well. They tried to lynch, but came up empty handed. Two votes went to Koishi, one went to Shotaro. But with no majority, no lynch was had.
We awoke this morning to find that Joey, the villager, had been gruesomely killed, by means of playing cards shoved down his throat.
That now leaves five people, so three to reach majority. Shouldn't be too hard, no?

Team B didn't choose to lynch anybody, perhaps a smart move if not for the mafia lurking around. Mitsuzane was found murdered, laying in a fountain with his blood surrounding him. Yikes. Five remain here as well, so three for majority.

It's now day two. You better do something soon or your teams will starve!

I can't believe this... What did Joey ever do to any of us?

Nothing. He was innocent.

[ He shook his head. Seeing Joey dead was just another thing he had to remind himself that he couldn't forget. ]

Does anyone here have a personal reason they could want him out of the picture? Even if it's something seemingly inconsequential, if any of us know something about someone else that's suspicious, now is the time to say it. I don't care to repeat this a second night.

He's a good kid. I don't know of any reason someone would hold a grudge against him. A little rough around the edges, but not any worse than ypur average delinquent.

[ There was some hesitance in his voice; he hadn't wanted to drag her further into things than she already was, but times were dire. ]

You know how this kind of thing works better than any of us combined. What sort of clues should we be looking for?

W-well, probably the person would be subtle. They'd try to be the friend of everyone.

Or they would try to color the game in the eyes of the less experienced players to make sure things go how they would like it to. [Glancing between Mitsuki and Terui.]

I only played this game once before this. That hardly makes me an expert! [She unconsciously touches a scar that's just above her collar.] Besides...there was a version of this game that was popularized in a cell phone game. It's not hard to think that most of us could know the rules already and just not admit it.

Whatever you're implying I suggest you leave her out of it, Hidari.

[ If drawing suspicion to himself was what he had to do to keep the few people he cared about safe another day, he wouldn't think twice about it. ]

Further, Hina, I know you're a good girl, and I honestly don't believe you'd hurt anyone unless you got put in a position where that was your only choice. You have good friends to get back to, after all.

[ She gasps in shock, realizing something. ]

Wait a second, what you just said-- What if the mafia don't have any other choice? Maybe something bad will happen to them if they don't play their role at night.

[ The subject's sharp turn was probably the only thing keeping Shotaro from a fist in his face at this point. It wouldn't stop the occasional glare, however. ]

I've been operating under that assumption from the start. If we're to be punished for not cooperating it's likely the same can be said for all of the game's players.

Meanwhile, Koishi is either playing at or genuinely clueless about this entire process.
