The Masquerade!

Have you signed up to go to the ball? Not everyone is going, and they don't have to! But they are highly encouraged to. Whether they have a date or not depends on how they'll be getting there. If they do have a specific date then the car that picks them up will be a regular guard car, and they will be told to get into the back and be escorted that way. The guard's cannot be harmed in their car, there is a metal blockade in the car, so sorry! For those that don't have a date, they'll be expected to get into a limo, taking about six or seven inmates at once! You might find your friends in the limo on the way there, yay!

The guards will take the inmates to a secluded spot on an entirely different island than the main one the prison is on. It's a coliseum, one that's used for special events involving horses and other fun animals. The Warden special ordered a massive tent that covers the entire coliseum, and there are heat lamps scattered about within. It's cold outside, these are a must! Around the perimeter of the tent there are several guards with loaded guns. They're standing about, watching very carefully, and if anyone tries to attack another inmate or tries to escape they will be shot on sight, no questions asked.

[ He almost let her go through with it but stole the lead from her at the last second. ]

I'm guessing that it happens oft-- [ she cuts herself off, laughing when he decides to steal the show ] I thought you didn't want to lead.

I didn't. But I do want to impress you. [ Wink wink. ]

Now why would you want to do that?

Do I need a reason to want to impress a lovely lady at a party?

Now you're just trying to suck up. [ she smiled, moving to kiss his cheek as the song stopped and so did her dancing ]

[ He gave her a sly grin, looking rather pleased with himself as he moved slightly closer. ]

Does that mean it worked?

[stillinlove]

I think you can answer that yourself. [ she stopped moving away, letting herself get pulled back in as she smiled ]

Well, if that's the case...

[ He trailed off, not intending to finish the sentence. Instead he put his fingers under her chin and tilted her head upward, leaning down considerably to touch his lips to hers. ]

[ she smiled, giving him a quick kiss on the lips. she waited a moment, looking at him ]

[ When he pulled back he acted as if he was surprised, but the second he broke out into a smile it was evident he had been teasing her. ]

Yep, totally worked.

Don't get over confident now. You haven't won me over just yet.

But I am making substantial progress.

That is true. [ she gave him a smile, reaching out to take his hands in hers. it was...nice, to say the least. to feel like she was appreciated and wanted. if it wasn't all true, then she didn't mind either. what else did she have in this place? ]
