Have you signed up to go to the ball? Not everyone is going, and they don't have to! But they are highly encouraged to. Whether they have a date or not depends on how they'll be getting there. If they do have a specific date then the car that picks them up will be a regular guard car, and they will be told to get into the back and be escorted that way. The guard's cannot be harmed in their car, there is a metal blockade in the car, so sorry! For those that don't have a date, they'll be expected to get into a limo, taking about six or seven inmates at once! You might find your friends in the limo on the way there, yay!

The guards will take the inmates to a secluded spot on an entirely different island than the main one the prison is on. It's a coliseum, one that's used for special events involving horses and other fun animals. The Warden special ordered a massive tent that covers the entire coliseum, and there are heat lamps scattered about within. It's cold outside, these are a must! Around the perimeter of the tent there are several guards with loaded guns. They're standing about, watching very carefully, and if anyone tries to attack another inmate or tries to escape they will be shot on sight, no questions asked.

[ It's strange when Philip of all people starts hitting on her. She's used to random facts from him, not comments on her appearance-- as much as she does appreciate it. He did, however, state that he wanted to be friends so it makes it something strange to hear this sort of thing coming from him. ]

Unless you've taken to stating everything within your field of vision, you're likely barking up the wrong tree.

This is a good indicator that someone's already got someone who tells them how beautiful they are. If you want to practice with me that's fine, but you're not getting anywhere.

It isn't, but as a general rule the compliments shower only comes from men when they have something they desire, darling.

He's trying to get you a date, which is why trying it with me is a dead end. Don't do that with someone unless you're attracted to them and want to date them, otherwise you're just being the equivalent of scum on a shoe.

[ Honestly, she's not 100% sure about Canadian geese as an example, but she knows that birds tend to have elaborate ones showing off how pretty their feathers are to other birds and dancing. ]

It did not go into much detail. It did mention that the mating season for the Canada goose is during summer, while migration happens during autumn.

I've no plans to give you the birds and the bees talk, so next time you're in the library look up a few things about mating rituals. It'll help you understand why men tell women they're pretty a little more specifically.
