The Masquerade!
The guards will take the inmates to a secluded spot on an entirely different island than the main one the prison is on. It's a coliseum, one that's used for special events involving horses and other fun animals. The Warden special ordered a massive tent that covers the entire coliseum, and there are heat lamps scattered about within. It's cold outside, these are a must! Around the perimeter of the tent there are several guards with loaded guns. They're standing about, watching very carefully, and if anyone tries to attack another inmate or tries to escape they will be shot on sight, no questions asked.

[ She takes it and rolls her eyes. (With an s!) She's going to go get changed though. ]
no subject
[he figured as much at least, though.]
switching to B now!?
Is it everything you hoped for, darling?
yes
[TWO BIG THUMBS UP FOR HER.]
Righteous!! As the kids would say.
no subject
Too bad you're not the one keeping me.
[ Anastasia's happy with Will, and it drives the point home that she's taken, but the "too bad" is certainly more of a flirtatious tease than her actually thinking it's bad. ]
no subject
you know, where the rats are and such. oh well.]
You sure? I could help you forget about any other guy here, guaranteed.

[ At that point, Anastasia leans back but keeps her voice low enough that only Second can hear it, her stature straightening with a curl of her lips to attach a playful simper to her words. ]
We both already know what happens when you do.
1/2
[second grins at that, laughing a bit because WOW! but... he came here for other reasons.]

he heard the music change to something a bit more lively. a tango, was it? well, he wouldn't be opposed to that. he closed the distance between them, an arm wrapping around her to pull her close against him.]
Hope you don't mind if we dance and talk.
no subject
About time you asked, darling. I'm not playing dress-up for fun.
[ Of course, she could actually really bring it to the dance floor. Classical dancing was practically a cornerstone of the 'if you want to be rich, act rich' plan that her mother had brought her up on. ]
no subject
second has been taught all sorts of dances as well, so when the tango actually gets started he's leading her perfectly. they seem to be pretty coordinated as well, which is working well for second.
but once he's in close to her he gets more serious-]
She killed off Babydoll. [that should tell her what he came here to say.]

Comfort wasn't her forte. It involved opening up yourself to let the other person know you were there with them. Even as their bodies moved together, both of them clearly comfortable with touching intimately even here on the dance floor, it wasn't as open as comfort would have to be. However, she wasn't entirely sure he knew who he was dealing with if he thought that Anastasia was one to not play the most dangerous of games.
As her body moved with his, she kept her voice low. They were close enough that even with the music their voices didn't need to be at any sort of raised volume. Keep it at business unless he presses for more. ]
I can hardly be expected to participate in events I'm not called for. Especially not when there's no guarantee I would've been in her group. Sorry you lost her.

[he was actually being serious for once, because of course this situation called for it. he had been so upset when he found out about it, but right now he could barely remember his own actions. he had been violent, that much still lingered in his mind.
as they danced he kept close to her, his voice low as well.]
She did it to get back at me, along with all the other people on that list. It was only to cover up the one she really wanted dead, Babydoll. So you know that I can never let things stand as they are, right? There's even more reasons to destroy that bitch.
no subject
But that was something she could stand with regardless of whether he checked or not. After all, his loss of Babydoll was something she could certainly empathize and sympathize with. ]
You know I've no intention of stepping down either. What she did to you through Babydoll is a threat to all of us. You're not the only one whose heart was kept with someone else she's got under her thumb. Don't think I've taken kindly to her threatening you.
no subject
[he had been totally serious during this little conversation, but that was sure interesting.]
You wanna stick up for me, Queenie?
no subject
She couldn't help but parrot Pietro's own words back at him from a particular private situation between the two of them, almost teasingly. ]
What was it you told me once, darling? "It was hotter when no emotions were involved"? Would you rather take that back now if you want me to say I'm sticking up for you?
no subject
[as they danced and the music picked up, he just stayed quiet as he thought about that. yeah, he liked it when no emotions were involved, made it was easier for him to trick people and torment them too. pietro was never a nice man, he did like killing people and such, but he had his sights set on other things right now.]
Sure, why not. Hey I like you- no denying that.
no subject
[ Not that she would trust him even if he swore it. She knew all too well that even the vows of a marriage were no guarantee that someone could be trusted. There had been many promises of loyalty given to her in the past and they'd turned out to mean nothing.
Still, if they're going to be friends, she might as well just flat-out say it. Her voice lowered a little, as though it was a little more meaningful than the first time she said it. ]
I really am sorry.
