The Masquerade!

Have you signed up to go to the ball? Not everyone is going, and they don't have to! But they are highly encouraged to. Whether they have a date or not depends on how they'll be getting there. If they do have a specific date then the car that picks them up will be a regular guard car, and they will be told to get into the back and be escorted that way. The guard's cannot be harmed in their car, there is a metal blockade in the car, so sorry! For those that don't have a date, they'll be expected to get into a limo, taking about six or seven inmates at once! You might find your friends in the limo on the way there, yay!

The guards will take the inmates to a secluded spot on an entirely different island than the main one the prison is on. It's a coliseum, one that's used for special events involving horses and other fun animals. The Warden special ordered a massive tent that covers the entire coliseum, and there are heat lamps scattered about within. It's cold outside, these are a must! Around the perimeter of the tent there are several guards with loaded guns. They're standing about, watching very carefully, and if anyone tries to attack another inmate or tries to escape they will be shot on sight, no questions asked.

Thinking of someone?

[ Hook knew a lot more about looks of loss and abandonment than most people. He'd seen them plenty of times, even if he hid behind his callous nature himself. He knew what loss looked like because he'd seen it himself-- even if Regina's longing wasn't for a deceased person, but simply someone she couldn't be with because of this damnable place. ]

[ she wiped under her eyes, making sure not to ruin her make up as the other approached ]

What is it this time, pirate boy?

Came to see how you were doing, love.

[ Well- he was actually just here for the fireworks, but he might as well make it seem like he came for her. ]

I really don't understand why you keep insisting on chasing after me. Aren't pirates supposed to be selfish and all about themselves?

[floors]

Well now I feel discriminated against.

[ He doesn't sound like he's actually offended though. ] There is a sense of honor amongst thieves, and since we're all criminals here I should expect it extends to you as well.

[stillinlove]

If you're saying that I still have honor and dignity, then thank you.
But it doesn't mean that I trust you enough to tell you about myself.

[floors]

Then perhaps we should start with something simpler, like a glass of champagne.

[ Had he been hiding that behind his back with his one good hand? Yes he had. He's holding it out to Regina now. ]

[stillinlove]

[ Regina raises a brow, looking at the glass and then back to him. it's not like he could drug it here or anything so she wasn't very worried. she reached out to take it from him, giving a small smile ]

Don't think you've won me over just yet.

[floors]

I wouldn't dream of it.

[ Once she takes the glass, he reaches into his coat and pulls out a flask of rum. Much more his speed than champagne. ]

Good, you can celebrate that later.

[ she looks at the flask curiously ] Rum? I'm just guessing.

[floors]

What can I say? It's a pirate's life for me. And it can be a little difficult to hold two champagne glasses.

[ What with only having one hand. ]

You know, you don't have to go with all of the stereotypes of being a pirate.

[floors]

Oh, I don't. There are a few I can certainly get behind, though.

It's good to know that you're not as rotten as I thought before.
