[Kanbaru had left the cell before Weiss did. She found a young puppy. Having worn herself out, Kanbaru is now carrying said dog in her arms.]

Yo!

[She doesn't understand why Weiss is throwing snow--until she finally sees the fox. The puppy doesn't seem to notice at least.] Looks like you made your first friend, huh? Other than me.

[whiteas]

I'm still not sure if either of you are friends.

[ At least by now Adam's talked her down from trying to run from the fox entirely. She was actually.. sort of playing with it this time. ]

We barely know each other and what are you holding?

Valhalla--she's a dog!

[At the sound of her name, the puppy starts to move in her arms. Kanbaru doesn't let her down yet, though.]

Anyway, I guess it's a little early but we are probably going to be stuck with each other for a while. Might as well try to get along a little.

[whiteas]

Valhalla. You named it already?

[ Kanbaru had to have just found the dog, there's no way anything could be named so easily like that, could it? Weiss was still waiting to figure out what she wanted to call the fox. ]

Let the dog go. If the two of them get along, then I'll consider it.

[ambivalentpaws]

What, you don't like the name?

[But she understood the point of the exercise. She sets the puppy down on the ground. She yelps a bit from the cold before sniffing around the snow.]

[whiteas]

You can't have met him more than an hour ago. That's a little fast for a name, isn't it?

[ The fox seems to approach the puppy slowly, jumping back a couple of times whenever it gets startled. Which seems like it was at weird intervals. ]

The name just came to me--and Valhalla is a 'she'.

[Said puppy snuffles a bit in the snow but doesn't seem overly concerned about the fox. Curious, but not afraid.]

How do you tell?

[ Weiss doesn't go around looking at animal genitalia alright okay. ]

It's kind of obvious.

[Look, Kanbaru knows she's a pervert but it doesn't take a genius to figure out a dog with such short hair.]

[whiteas]

[ Weiss doesn't like a lot of animals. She isn't even really around them much with the exception of today and she definitely hasn't been looking at their underbellies. ]

Humor me.

[ambivalentpaws]

Look down.

[Kanbaru's never really had pets but she's encountered enough animals to know.

Either way, Valhalla is snuffling her way towards the fox.]

[whiteas]

I'm not looking down.

[ But she obviously gets the answer now. ]

Then just trust me on that.

[She's not going to push it, though.]

[whiteas]

I'll trust you. Anyway, they're getting along pretty well for being a fox and a dog..

[ Though she supposes it's less weird than that bull from earlier.. ]

Well, Valhalla's a puppy. They can get used to a lot of things if introduced young enough.

[The puppy bows at the fox, waving her stumpy tail.]

What do foxes eat?

[ She's considering keeping her. ]

[ambivalentpaws]

[Kanbaru smiles a little. Heh. She's totally a better roommate than the Pirate Queen.]

I think they eat mice. Kind of like a pet snake, probably. Never had either but that's I think.

[whiteas]

How am I supposed to get mice?

[ She puts her hands on her hips. ] I'm sure they're not going to be running around after this little... [ What should she call it? ] event.

[ambivalentpaws]

I'll buy you some--people probably have bought stranger things here.

[She gives a small shrug, keeping her smile.] I'd say just feed her chicken or beef but I'm not sure that'd be good for her.

[whiteas]

It's probably going to cost less to get the little mice. It's not like we get anything good from the cafeteria if we don't pay for it.

[ambivalentpaws]

Right. The little mice should work--I think I heard somewhere that foxes eat more than just meat...

[whiteas]

Well, we get 10 minutes of internet time. I guess I'll print out a page about fox diets and read about it afterward.

[ That should still give her time to check the news if she just gets it printed. ]

How are you going to feed your dog?

I'm going to buy dog food. If that doesn't work? I'll feed her beef.
