DEADMAN WONDERLAND MAFIA

[ The Captain smiles on the colosseum, which has been transformed into a small little village with a house, gallows and a campfire. There is a similar one on the other side, and a wall separates the two.

Her voice comes over the speakers, loud and clear. ]

Welcome to the Village, everyone. I trust you all are having a fine morning!
In your pockets you’ll find a piece of paper with your role and what your win conditions are. Keep that paper to yourself. You’re free to tell people what you are, but be careful. Don’t throw the game, dohoho~

The rules are simple. You find which one of you is the mafia. But be careful, lynching incorrectly could result in problems. Listen closely to what your friends say, and watch your words carefully. You never know what can be used against you...
Failure to comply with the game may result in a much bigger loss than what your team would suffer, huhu~

TEAM A
Shotaro
Hina
Terui
Koishi
Joey
Mitsuki

TEAM B
Ankh
Micchy
Christa
Rei
Rika
Aya

((OOC: Basic rules:
- No copying the message sent to you with your role information in any form. No screeenshotting, either.
- You must choose a user during your night actions. You can’t kill nobody, investigate nobody, et cetera.
- No lynching is permitted during the game, however is suboptimal.
- Any questions can be sent to DM on Plurk, or to the avibusraris account.
))

It... depends on which side you're on. If you're the mafia, then you're trying to kill everyone else. But if you're a villager, then yes, you're right. But since it's the first day, most people generally abstain from lynching anyone. [ Simply because there's no clues or hints anywhere and if you try to lynch someone, that's pretty much putting a sign on your forehead that you're a mafia member.

Like seriously. Wow. Why would you even. Rei's voice might sound a little shaky, but it's confident in her words. As if she's done this before. And she has. ]

"The first day"? How long is this going to last?

[ He didn't even get breakfast! Sheesh. ]

[personal profile] dolosa 2015-02-01 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Usually a normal mafia game only lasts a few hours, but if they're using the "days" as actual days in real time, it might take a while. But since we don't have too many people... I think it would be three to four days, depending on what happens.

[personal profile] shallnotharm 2015-02-01 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Surely they can't expect an event to last that long... It would be quite inconvenient to them. [Aya's been watching.] I'm Aya, by the way.

[personal profile] dolosa 2015-02-01 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
I agree. I don't think... that it would be profitable for them. Or entertaining.

[Introductions? Kinda complicated.] Ankh.

So how the hell does this bullshit game work?

[personal profile] dolosa 2015-02-01 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
[HERE'S A GUIDE ON HOW TO PLAY MAFIA 101, ANKH]

Everyone's given a role in the beginning, right? Either detective, mafia, or villager. Each character has their own role. Every day, the village can lynch any person who they may think is the mafia... And the majority vote wins.

So if you abstain, nobody dies. Then, in the evenings, the mafia has a meeting and they figure out who to kill while the detective investigates. There's other roles that are more complicated, but those are the basics. I- If you want to know more, you can ask, but, um, I don't know how this mafia works specifically or if they added any more specific roles that do things... since different mafia games do that.

This one is different than the one I used to play, though.

[personal profile] shallnotharm 2015-02-01 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
So, the point is to find out who the mafia is... and try to not to get killed in the process, I assume. [Hm. Interesting...]

The staff probably changed a few rules to make it more 'interesting' for the audience. It might be smart to vote carefully.

Hmm, so we're basically finding out who are the wolves among sheep? I'm Rika, nice to meet you all.

[personal profile] dolosa 2015-02-01 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I... I think so. It might be possible that they'll actually kill people who are lynched or kill people who are chosen as mafia. [But the wolves among sheep metaphor doesn't go over Rei's head. In fact, that's exactly how she sees this game.]

miraclefighter: (✩ {Mischievous} You'll know soon enough)

[personal profile] miraclefighter 2015-02-02 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Knowing this prison, that's pretty likely... All to please the outside viewers and themselves.
grapesandwhine: (006)

[personal profile] grapesandwhine 2015-02-05 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
But knowing this prison, isn't it also possible we'll be punished if we abstain from voting? We might have to sacrifice somebody either way.
birdinhand: (73 S)

[personal profile] birdinhand 2015-02-05 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
It doesn't make a difference. The sooner we get this over with the sooner we can go back to pretending this isn't a prison and the sooner I get back to my sister. [Humph. But he is watching people, and he's got his first target in mind.]

[He directs his attention to Rei, and takes some of the edge out of his voice.] So, since you know how this works, why don't you take the lead? What's your vote for?
miraclefighter: (✩ {Nano} desu)

[personal profile] miraclefighter 2015-02-06 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Mii. They probably figure that wouldn't be any fun for them if we abstained. They more information we have, the better, that is so.

[personal profile] dolosa 2015-02-07 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
--Eh?

[She's surprised at both the announcement and the fact that she's been asked a Very Important Question.]

If we really have do vote, I usually would go for the most suspicious person... or anybody who hasn't spoken up yet. But voting for someone on the first day is really bad, considering that the odds of choosing someone that's a villager is high.

grapesandwhine: (014)

[personal profile] grapesandwhine 2015-02-09 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
But the longer we put off voting, the longer we'll be here.

We might as well pick somebody at random. Everyone, pick a number between one and twenty.

[personal profile] dolosa 2015-02-09 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
... Why one through twenty? Shouldn't it just be one to six?

birdinhand: (68)

[personal profile] birdinhand 2015-02-09 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Gives Micchy a disgusted look] You're annoying, shut up.
grapesandwhine: (Default)

[personal profile] grapesandwhine 2015-02-09 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
This way there's less chance of somebody complaining that the number they wanted was already picked. Whoever gets the closest to the number I'm thinking of is the one we vote off.
birdinhand: (84 S)

[personal profile] birdinhand 2015-02-09 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Except for you. How convenient.
grapesandwhine: (007)

[personal profile] grapesandwhine 2015-02-09 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose you have a better idea?
birdinhand: (83 S)

[personal profile] birdinhand 2015-02-09 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, why don't we get you out of here? Anyone else?

[personal profile] dolosa 2015-02-09 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
...

I'd rather not vote anybody off. Maybe if we just decide not to vote tonight, we can figure something out tomorrow when the mafia member kills somebody.
miraclefighter: (✩ {Mischievous} You'll know soon enough)

[personal profile] miraclefighter 2015-02-09 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
I agree, we need to access the situation more, it's only the first day right? That's what I think, that is so.
