The Masquerade!

Have you signed up to go to the ball? Not everyone is going, and they don't have to! But they are highly encouraged to. Whether they have a date or not depends on how they'll be getting there. If they do have a specific date then the car that picks them up will be a regular guard car, and they will be told to get into the back and be escorted that way. The guard's cannot be harmed in their car, there is a metal blockade in the car, so sorry! For those that don't have a date, they'll be expected to get into a limo, taking about six or seven inmates at once! You might find your friends in the limo on the way there, yay!

The guards will take the inmates to a secluded spot on an entirely different island than the main one the prison is on. It's a coliseum, one that's used for special events involving horses and other fun animals. The Warden special ordered a massive tent that covers the entire coliseum, and there are heat lamps scattered about within. It's cold outside, these are a must! Around the perimeter of the tent there are several guards with loaded guns. They're standing about, watching very carefully, and if anyone tries to attack another inmate or tries to escape they will be shot on sight, no questions asked.

THE DANCE FLOOR

[ Yup, it's time to listen to the tunes that the Warden has picked out personally! She's taken her time to find a lot of good songs for everyone, so let's give her a warm appreciation and dance till we can't dance anymore! Take your partner here or simply get jiggy with it by yourself and watch the stares of the people. ]

[ Weiss has no problems being out on the dance floor. In fact, she's probably the opposite of what you might call a wallflower. She's been spending a lot of time with her date, but there are a few minutes where she takes a break or he has to go get punch, or any of those things. Feel free to approach her! She even looks like she's having fun, for once. ]

[ Hey, there's a presence dressed entirely in black approaching Weiss as she takes a break. Megumi's got a 90 percent chance that this is who she thinks it is - if she's going to talk to someone tonight, might as well talk to one of the people who seem reasonable. ]

Took the special snowflake theme pretty literally, huh?

[ It's a compliment really. Kind of. ]

[adam had gone away to get them something to drink, coming back with punch for the two of them. he handed the one cup to her while sipping his own.]

A. Beginning of the night
[ Anastasia didn't go with the standard fair of arriving with her date. Oh no, she had been planning on making this a far more surprising evening considering she went out of her way to make sure that she had both eyes to start the new year with. She even holds back to make sure that she comes in late to the ball so that she makes quite the entrance as she comes in wearing her rather large ball gown, a mask that showed off both of her eyes quite well, as well as a necklace, her engagement ring, and a nice pair of shoes. Her hair is tied back, with clear curls in it. There's a brilliant smile on her lips as she steps in fashionably late. Her Red Queen moniker far from fit nowadays. ]

B. A little later, for a short period of time, after this
[ Should you encounter Anastasia later that night, she'll be dressed in a slightly different outfit provided by another guest. After all, there are some conversations best done with attentions diverted. Still, even if it's only for a specific event you might catch her on her way to go back toward the guards so she can change back into her previous dress and put her hair back up, as she let it down for this specific outfit so as to not appear completely the same as her previous ensemble. ]

[ Did Hook promise you a dance? Or would you like to dance with this gorgeous specimen anyway? Come and get it! He's actually quite the amazing ballroom dancer. Bet no one expected that. ]

[ Well, Joan is a little less enthusiastic about this than some of the people. Honestly, she hasn't recovered from the Battle Royale but she figured it was something to do instead of sitting around her cell thinking about everything.

So here's the first wallflower of the night, though she may look more like a butterfly hanging out amongst the other wall flowers. Hey, she was trying to keep her mind off of things. If it was a masquerade, might as well go full-blown with the masquerade theme. Even if now she's just kind of lingering off to the side. ]

[ Of course, Rei's not going to avoid the dance floor, though she might be creeping people out with her mask that completely covers her head along with a suit and tie. There's no way she's going to the masquerade ball unprepared, and besides, she knows all too well that if she wore a dress, her identity might be compromised.

Not that she cares either way. Though she's far from a wallflower, deciding to approach anyone she manages to see. ]

[Yang? Being a wallflower? Not a chance. She's going to get down with her bad self, regardless of whether she has a partner or not.]

[Mitsuki is lurking where the greatest concentration of people are. That is, the dance floor. Normally she would have loved to dance, tonight is not a night of revelry. She's here on a mission.

She's definitely trying to hide her identity, with full mask and suit.]

[For the most part, Sena has been dancing with Link but there's a few moments when she's alone and available for other dances, too.]

[Ruby is probably one of the more hyper people who aren't dancing. She's a bit younger than most, so, she'll spend the time not eating watching the others dance and rocking back and forth on her heels.]

[Having shown up with no date, Fiona wasn't sure she would be dancing but she would be watching the other dancers with a calm smile on her face.]

[Ellie isn't even sure she knows how to dance. It doesn't look hard, but she never did that kind before.

So, for the most part, she looks uncomfortable and watches everyone else.]

[The main event. Skye came with Loki, so most of her dances will be with him but she'll take breaks to dance with a few others, too. For the most part, she seems to be having fun.]

that's right, the warden herself came. why? because she could. no one had actually seen her before, no one knew who she really was, so it was easy to come and dress up in full formal wear and a mask.

she was wearing quite traditional outfits, but that was just how she was. over the top in a way no one would be able to know who she was.

[ Philip looks surprisingly dapper, considering he's spent his entire time since arriving wearing the lame jumpsuit and not combing his hair.

He's read up on dancing, so he is totally ready for this. ]

[ As far as John was concerned, there were few things better in the world than dancing. Anyone you asked would likely think the way he went about it was ridiculous, but at the very least anyone who ran into him would have a bit of fun. ]

[ Even if he hated all the bullshit that came with formal events, dancing was definitely Scratch's thing and he was more than happy to take any opportunity he could to do just that. His attire wasn't terribly different from what he wore normally, so if anyone wanted to seek him out they wouldn't have a whole lot of trouble. ]

[ now this was the moment that they had both been practicing for. Levi had already been dancing with a few people, letting them talk his ear off as he listened and absorbed the information. some people had such high hopes about getting out of here and then others had plans that they openly told him. they seemed good, but they must be stupid to tell him.

he's stepped to the side now, speaking with one of the guards. feel free to interrupt or steal him away! ]

Re: THE DANCE FLOOR

[Shotaro went a bit vintage (with a fedora, of course) but he looks good in it. His mask is green on the right with gold accents and black on the left with purple accents. It matches Philip's. Because this is a great idea.

He's looking to approach and have dances with all the pretty ladies.]

[Dancing, Eren decided, was exhausting. More than fighting had ever been. He didn't always have to talk much, but he had to pretend to be pleasant and happy to be there, and act like he knew what was going on unless he wanted anyone to notice he wasn't actually a guard. Still, he decided, it would be worth it, so he laughed lightly at a comment he had only been halfway paying attention to, gently relinquishing the hands of his dancing partner.]

Excuse me for a moment.

[Trying not to appear as if he was too eager to leave, he began to walk off to a group of guards, checking his tie yet again to make sure it was in place.]

[ He's not here to dance as much as to see people dance. Or find someone to dance with really. Jakotsu's glad to finally be dressed prettily again. It hardly felt like being himself without a cute yukata, but now he was positive of looking absolutely radiant. Especially with his pretty legs finally exposed again. God, it felt so good to be himself again.

So while he's at the sidelines of the dancefloor he's certainly not wallflowering. Rather, he's waving at all the men in the room and throwing comments rating their outfits around. ]

[ Megumi's standing at the sidelines, looking appropriately bored and unimpressed for her goth-ish clothes. She doesn't seem too impressed with the music selection and just yawns. She's going to fall asleep at this rate, someone wake her up and drag her into a dance.]

[ Though he wouldn't decline a dance if asked, Loki was finding much more interest in observing from the sidelines. People were always more prone to do daring things if they thought no one would notice them, after all. ]
